Why This Matters
Hundreds of thousands of people recognize the San Antonio MLK March. Far fewer know the people, neighborhoods and community struggles that created it.
The 40th anniversary of the City-supported march in 2027 creates a rare opportunity to preserve that history while public attention is focused on the march. We Are the Dream is making sure the story behind the march — and the people who built it — are not lost to time.
